Nishtar Hospital, Multan is located on the Western side of the city extending over an area of about 120 acres. At present the sanctioned strength of the hospital is 1103 beds and a staff of 2312 officers / officials are rendering day and night services not only for the 35 lacs people of Multan District but also for the whole of Southern Punjab and the province of Baluchistan. Patients of Southern Punjab are being provided Specialist treatment for different diseases.
Board of directors and hospital administration are taking appropriate meaures to improve the services being provided to the patients and status of hospital which are admirable.

Emergency Department
It is a busy emergency department and is supervised by the specialzed doctors of different specialities.It handles more than 415 patient per day or around 12500 patients per month.An efficient Main Emergency Department handles all kind of emergencies including trauma.
OPD
The General OPD is providing treatment service to the needy patients. It functions on a daily basis and like all other departments. The meidcal officers exmine the patients and advise them treatment.
Pharmacy
Pharmacy Department is comprising of its OPD dispensing and central supply of medicaments (medicines and disposables) to indoor sections like emergency, C.C.Us, ICUs and O.Ts etc.Pharmacy department is playing vital role in order to provide health care facilities to patients.
BLood Bank
The Blood bank in NHM is a fully established department. It has been providing the blood transfusion services ever since the indoor department became functional. Over the years the demand for blood and its components have gradually increased.
