Foreign Ph.D Scholarships under Faculty Development Program
Applications are invited from outstanding Pakistani nationals for the award of Ph.D scholarships preferably at the top 500 Universities of the World in the fields mentioned below. The selection of the candidates will be made purely on merit considering their academic achievements. The scholarship awardee will be required to serve National Textile University, Faisalabad as faculty member for the period of minimum 5-years after the completion of Ph.D.
■ Yarn Manufacturing (Spinning) ■ Polymer Engineering ■ Fabric Manufacturing (Weaving) ■ Textile Management ■ Knitting ■ Textile & Apparel Design ■ Garment Manufacturing
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
a) Pakistani/AJK National only.
b) Must have minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or first division (in the annual system) in MS/MPhil/Equivalent degree (18- years education) with no rdivision or Grade D in degree/certificate in the entire academic career.
c) Maximum age at the closing date of application:
■ 40 years for candidates working in Government Organizations
■ 35 years for fresh candidates
d) The candidates must have acquired requisite qualification before the closing date of application.
e) The candidates who are already availing any other scholarships are not eligible to apply.
f) The candidates who are already enrolled in any Ph.D program are not eligible to apply.
g) The candidates shall be required to follow all the codal formalities as pel HEC regulations before leaving for higher studies abroad.
Application Procedure
The candidates are required to submit application on the prescribed form available at university website or from Registrars office. The following documents are required to be submitted along with the application form:
a) Attested copy of all educations testimonials
b) Attested copy of domicile
c) Attested copy of CNIC
d) Two page CV/resume
e) Two recent photographs
f) Attested copy of valid result card of NTS GAT Subject (GAT General forTextile Management and Textile & Apparel Design).
g) Pay order/bank demand draft worth Rs.500/- (non-refundable) in favor of National Textile University, Faisalabad as a processing fee.
h) Candidates who are already serving in Government/Semi-Govemment/Autonomous organizations should apply through proper channel accompanied by NOC from employer.
i) PEC registration copy for engineering field
j) One page "Statement of Purpose" in the field of study
k) Research proposal

• All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of open merit
• Candidate must have a final degree in the relevant field of study.
• Candidates will have to seek admission in top 500 foreign universities (preferably) by fulfilling the admission requirements of the host university.
• The applicants are required to indicate the disciplines of the scholarship program on the envelope.
• After the selection, the final grant of the scholarship shall be subject to the confirmation of admission of the candidate in the foreign university.
• Only short listed candidates will be called for interviews.
• Awardee will have to execute a bond to serve in the NTU Faisalabad for a minimum period at five years after completion of Ph.D study.
• NTU reserves the right to select or reject applications on the basis of selection criteria approved by University Scholarship Management Committee (USMC).
• In case of any omission/misrepresentation, NTU will not be responsible and reserves the rightto reject the application at any stage.
