Pakistan could be receiving its first LNG cargo in the first week of March, according to an official.
Engro Vopak’s chief executive, Sheikh Imranul Haque revealed at a conference that the LNG terminal near Karachi is complete after ten months of construction, reports Reuters.
He added that the terminal is ready for its first cargo in the first week of March and that it will be supplied by Qatar.
The terminal, that is should help Pakistan overcome severe power shortages, has an initial capacity of 0.4 bcf of LNG per day but it is planned for the capacity to reach 0.6 bcf per day of LNG.
